As long term sponsors of Team BRIT, we were invited to take part in their annual karting endurance event at Daytona Milton Keynes. An evening that combined competitive racing, strategy, and a shared passion for motorsport.
The evening began with driver sign-on at 17:30, where each participant was issued race suits and balaclavas ahead of the on-track action. Daytona’s structured approach ensured everyone was fully prepared, with driver briefing videos running ahead of practice and a mandatory pit lane demonstration at 18:30.
These sessions covered essential race procedures, safety protocols, and communication systems, including the use of flags, digital displays, and light signals positioned around the circuit. From yellow flag slow zones to pit instructions displayed trackside, every detail plays a role in ensuring both safety and fair competition.

Practice/Qualifying began at 18:40, giving each driver valuable time to get up to speed and dial into the circuit. Teams managed their own driver changes, with the final practice driver lining up to start the race. Team 1 qualified P2 overall, with a 76.211-second lap just 3 hundreths away from Pole Position.
At the conclusion of the session, karts were assembled on the back straight and arranged into qualifying order setting the stage for the two-hour endurance race ahead.
The race got underway at 19:15, with teams facing a two-hour challenge where consistency, discipline, and strategy would prove just as important as outright pace. Each team was required to complete a minimum of three driver changes, adding another layer of tactical decision-making.
While the Pavilion served food and drinks throughout the race, the focus trackside remained firmly on execution, managing pit stops, maintaining pace, and avoiding costly penalties.

Our first team delivered an exceptional performance from start to finish. After qualifying P2, they executed a well-planned race strategy to perfection.
Opting for a staggered stint approach of 35, 35, 25, and 25 minutes, the team avoided the congested mid-race pit window minimising time lost in the pit lane. Combined with consistent, flat-out driving and clean racecraft, this strategy proved decisive.
After two hours of racing, Team 1 crossed the line to take victory by an impressive 18.196-second margin.
Our second team also battled hard throughout the field in a competitive grid, gaining valuable experience and contributing to a strong overall team showing.
The event concluded with a podium presentation, celebrating the efforts of all teams involved before departure shortly after.
It was another fantastic evening of racing, and we’re grateful to Team BRIT for hosting such a well-run and meaningful event. We look forward to continuing our relationship and returning to the track again in the future.
